1. Who We Are

LawBits, LLC ("LawBits") operates the LawBits platform, which provides non-legal informational and support services to help individuals and families understand estate and elder-law planning. LawBits organizes information, offers planning guidance, and delivers access to attorney-approved templates so that users can make informed choices. LawBits is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

FreedomCounsel Legal, LLC ("FreedomCounsel") is a separate law firm that provides limited-scope legal consultation and document review services to LawBits clients. FreedomCounsel works with licensed attorneys who perform these services in the states where they are authorized to practice.

When you purchase a LawBits plan, it includes both the non-legal informational components provided by LawBits and the limited-scope legal services provided through FreedomCounsel. You do not pay FreedomCounsel directly; all payments are made to LawBits as part of your plan purchase.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be 18 years or older and legally able to enter a contract. By clicking "I Agree," creating an account, making a purchase, or continuing to use our Services, you consent to these Terms electronically.

4. Limited-Scope Legal Services Through FreedomCounsel Legal, LLC

Every LawBits plan includes a defined component of limited-scope legal consultation and document review provided through FreedomCounsel Legal, LLC. These services are performed by licensed attorneys in the state where you reside or where your documents will be executed.

When you begin your plan and accept these Terms, you also agree to the Limited Scope Representation Agreement ("LSR Agreement") between you and FreedomCounsel. This creates a binding, limited-scope attorney-client relationship. Attorney-client privilege applies during your consultation.

LawBits does not oversee or direct attorneys' professional judgment. All legal work is performed independently by licensed attorneys in accordance with their professional-conduct rules.

All fees are paid directly to LawBits at the time of purchase. Pricing is clearly displayed before checkout.

Refund Policy: If you have not yet had your attorney consultation, you may request a full refund — no questions asked. If your attorney consultation has already taken place, the attorney consultation fee is non-refundable (as that service has been delivered), but the document preparation fee will be refunded. 7. Intellectual Property

All content, templates, and materials on the LawBits platform are owned by LawBits or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

LawBits and FreedomCounsel are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our Services. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for your plan.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive your right to a jury trial.
